The year has passed since the grand Lasva lake music festival anniversary, still talked about today. This year, Järvemuusika will take place on August 30, bringing summer to a close. On stage, the vocal ensemble Noorkuu, Birgit Sarrap, and Mihkel Mattisen will perform.

Originating from the former Lasva parish, the traditional event known as the 'Lasva lake music' will take place for the 21st time this year and is a significant event for Võru County, offering an enjoyable musical experience.

'As we set the bar high last year, we must organize the event just as well this year,' said Maarika Rosenberg, director of the Võru County Cultural and Youth Center.

Building on last year's success, the Võru County Cultural and Youth Center will once again collaborate with the Estonian Light Agency and Helimix in organizing Järvemuusika, presenting a visual performance called 'Reflection' on the Lasva beach this year. This is an audiovisual journey that integrates familiar motifs from previous productions of the Estonian Light Agency, creating a new, unique whole. It is a potpourri of light, sound, and moments where reflections of the past and present, inner and outer worlds, come to life. The performance combines a symbiosis of light and sound, where each flash and sound invites the audience to feel, not just watch. Memories and future fantasies come to life above the water's surface—sometimes gently undulating, sometimes pulsating like heartbeats. This year's special performance for Järvemuusika, 'Reflection,' is not just for viewing, it is an experience—one moment at a time, one reflection at a time. The authors of the performance are Caspar Lootsmann, Kullar Laiapea, and Toomas Liiv from the Estonian Light Agency.

At 9:00 PM on the last Saturday of August, pop-jazz a cappella group Noorkuu, singer Birgit Sarrap known from 'Estonian Idol,' and classical pianist, composer, and music producer Mihkel Mattisen will take the stage in Lasva. Over the years, Birgit Sarrap and Noorkuu have occasionally performed together and toured in the summers and Christmases. Mihkel Mattisen and Birgit Sarrap have a long-standing collaboration. For example, in 2013 at the Eurovision Song Contest, Birgit Sarrap performed Mihkel Mattisen's song 'Let the New Begin.'

Tickets for Lasva Lake Music are available on Piletilevi. Presale ticket price for everyone is 20 euros, on-site regular ticket is 25 euros, 20 euros for pensioners, and free for children up to 16 years old.

It is worth coming to Lasva on August 30th, as there will be activities all day. The Kivikolli Superenduro will start in Lasva at 10:00 AM. It is a competition aimed at ATVs and off-road motorcyclists, where participants must overcome obstacles on the track like logs, tires, and more. Kivikolli Superenduro is free for spectators. The competition will take place at Torni tee 5.

In addition, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Lasva water tower with a spiral staircase will be open to all interested parties, and you can explore the photo exhibition 'Võru County on Wheels - in the richness of culture and the spirit of the cultural capital.'
