Lasva Lake Music Brought Stars and Lights Above Heads to the Stage

The 21st edition of Lasva Lake Music brought several performers to the stage this year - the vocal ensemble Noorkuu and Birgit Sarrap and Mihkel Mattisen. During the two-hour concert, the artists performed music pieces both as a group and as duos, offering the audience fun and touching moments.

Additionally, this year's concert featured a change in the layout of the stage along the beach, creating a larger audience area on the shore. This setup did not hide the waterbody, but rather provided a more complete and impactful viewing experience for the audience. There are plans to continue with this new layout and further develop the concept in the future.

The highlight of the Lake Music was a 20-minute light show with lasers titled "Reflection," created in collaboration between the Estonian Light Agency and Helimix, which was performed above the heads of the audience on the shore of Lake Lasva. The authors of the show are Caspar Lootsmann, Kullar Laiapea, and Toomas Liiv from the Estonian Light Agency. Thank you, Estonian Light Agency and Helimix, for another fantastic light experience!

Approximately 700 people visited Lasva Lake Music this year. The event was organized by the Võru Parish's cultural and youth center in collaboration with the local community. Special thanks to the team members, including Maarika Rosenberg, Sirje Kuuseorg, Maarika Helde, Antti Kaaristo, Rainer Jõõger, Elar Kendaru, Üllar Ojaveer and his family, Ülo and Pille Täht, Juris Juhansoo, Tiit Lõhmus, Margus Muts, Anneli Lõhmus, Liina Loosaar, Birgit Pettai, and Kaia Rammul.

We also thank Koka Farm for hosting the light show team, Forust for ensuring security, and sponsors - the Võru Parish, Võrumaa Development Center, and the Estonian Cultural Endowment.

The biggest and most special thanks go to the creator of Lasva Lake Music, Silja Vijar, who is present every year and generously shares feedback with the current organizers. Thank you for initiating this wonderful event in 2004!
