Võru Parish Groups Participated in County Song Festival "Resounding Võru"
It was only on 20th August that Võru village resounded with choir singing, folk songs, orchestral music, shining eyes, smiles, and touching moments. Võru parish choirs and the brass band Kungla also contributed to this event. The song festival started near Võru Kreutzwaldi school and culminated in Tamula beach with the final concert of combined choirs.
At the Võru County song festival held on Independence Day, the following groups from our area performed:
- Lasva Male Choir – conductor Jane Reiljan-Prätz
- Väimela Toddlers (LA Lõunapärlid) – teacher Vilve Viilo
- Puiga Kindergarten Siilike Toddlers – teacher Epp Voitka
- Sõmerpalu Toddlers (Võru Parish Kindergarten Lõunapärlid, Sõmerpalu House) – teacher Helena Helekivi
- Võru Parish Kindergarten Lõunapärlid, Parksepa House Sipsikud – teacher Heli Vestla
- Lasva Kindergarten Pargihaldjas Toddler – teacher Annika Eliste
- Vastseliina Gymnasium Children's Choir – conductor Jane Reiljan-Prätz
- Parksepa High School Children's Choir – conductor Endla Kersman
- Lapi Singers – conductor Silja Otsar
- Mixed Choir Claro – conductor Ermo Talvik
- Parksepa High School Mixed Choir – conductor Silja Otsar
The festival was accompanied by the Kungla brass band under the direction of Märt Metsla.
The event was organized by the Võru County Development Center in cooperation with the local municipalities of Võru County.
